The Chicks
Established in 2009, Chicks and Love Pizza was founded by wife and wife team Kellie Joe and Vanda Chong. An AAPI, women, LGBTQIA and family owned small business. Created from the love, passion & talents of two native SF Bay Area professional women: One Teacher/Chef and one Designer/Nurse otherwise known as The Chicks. The motivation for starting the business was when they parted ways with the Food Network. Ask either of The Chicks to tell you the story, but Chef Kellie tells it the best!

I decided to throw a very last minute dinner party and Kellie Joe miraculously came through for me. I heard about Chicks and Love Pizza through a friend on how amazing their pizzas are so I thought I would give it a shot. Kellie Joe was great to work with. From the set up, to the tear down... everything went seamlessly. Everyone raved about the pizza. The ingredients were super fresh and the pizza was served piping hot. It was a huge hit to say the least. I found their menu to be quite extensive with so much to choose from. There is honestly something for everyone. All of my guests were happy and satisfied!! I would 100% use Kellie Joe and her staff again.. and again! Thank you for making my party a huge success!
Chicks Backyard Farm
In their small East Bay backyard farm, the Chicks have a cat, dogs, koi fish, chickens and bees. Their backyard has been recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. They use their farm fresh pasture raised eggs from their chickens on their signature flatbread pizza: The Farm Fresh. The honey from their bees is a key ingredient in their organic flatbread pizza dough. The Chicks grow organic fruits, seasonal vegetables and herbs which they use on their pizzas. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
Not even sure where to start raving about how amazing Kellie and her team was for our event... We heard about Chicks and Love from a friend and booked them to cater our "Bocce in the Vineyards" couples party which was an auction item for our school this summer. Saying they knocked it out of the park is an understatement - not only is the pizza TO DIE FOR DELICIOUS, working with Kellie was fantastic and she literally made the evening so fun and effortless. Our guests were wowed and delighted by the food, they were so fun to be around, and totally made the evening. They have several different types of ways they can support an event (handle everything, facilitate a pizza-marking party for your guests, etc.) and I cannot wait for another excuse to have an event and hire Chicks and Love!
The Journey

Chicks and Love’s claim to fame was their pizza booth at several East Bay Area Farmers Market’s including Pleasant Hill, Orinda, San Ramon, Danville and Walnut Creek. The Sunday Walnut Creek Farmers Market on Locust Street became their “home” for a decade 2010-2020. The Chicks operated their pizza shop Chicks and Love Pizza Patio, in the Mission/ SOMA district of San Francisco from 2016-2018.
In 2019 they launched their home delivery Take n Bake and Pizza Kit business Queen of Crusts. Throughout the years they have consistently catered parties and special events across the SF Bay area.
The Chicks and Love Crew is made up of The Chicks, Moms, young adults and teens from Kellie & Vanda's communities.
